Samuel Pimentel Serrano, known artistically as Samuel Serrano, is a renowned flamenco cantaor born in Chipiona in 1994. He is the great hope of the Chipiona flamenco scene and belongs to the Los Agujetas lineage. With a deep, raw, and racial voice, he evokes greats like Tío Juan Talega, Chocolate, Terremoto, and Antonio Mairena. His talent and deep connection to cante jondo have made him a prominent figure in the flamenco world.
Career
Samuel Serrano began singing from an early age, inspired by the songs he heard from his father and under the guidance of his cousin Manuel Flores “Macarrón”. His artistic godfather, Paco Cepero, has been a significant influence on his development. Samuel has participated in numerous festivals and flamenco gatherings, notably performing at the Baluarte de la Candelaria in Cádiz with Niño de Pura, showcasing his maturity in cante.
He has appeared on Canal Sur and Radio Nacional de España, and has given notable recitals at festivals such as Yerbabuena in Las Cabezas de San Juan with Paco Cepero. Additionally, he has performed in cities like Madrid and Zamora.
Collaborations
Samuel Serrano has worked with some of the biggest names in flamenco, bringing his distinctive touch to each collaboration. Some of the artists he has collaborated with include:
- Paco Cepero - Prestigious flamenco guitarist and his artistic godfather.
- Manuel Flores “Macarrón” - His cousin and early mentor in flamenco.
- Niño de Pura - With whom he has performed at the Baluarte de la Candelaria.
- Paco León - Tremendous guitarist, in my opinion the best one to accompany Samuel. You can check it out in Samuel Serrano’s music videos: Un Viaje a la Tradición - Bulería and Un Viaje a la Tradición - Tangos. The result of both the artists and the work done by One Shot Producciones is simply excellent.
Musical Style
Samuel Serrano’s style is a fusion of:
- Cante jondo: Keeping the legacy of pure flamenco alive.

- Deep emotion: Each performance is filled with feeling and authenticity.
