Amós Lora is a renowned flamenco guitarist born in Madrid on September 21, 1999. He began playing the guitar at the age of three, under the guidance of his father Manuel Lora, and since then has developed exceptional talent that has made him a prominent figure in the world of flamenco.
Career
In 2010, Amós traveled to Rome to meet Paco de Lucía and had the privilege of giving him a small private concert, where the Maestro was impressed by the boy’s talent. Two years later, Paco de Lucía wrote on Amós Lora’s presentation CD: “Amós, if you keep playing like this, you’ll make us all look like bricklayers.” This phrase holds special significance as it was originally said by Amós’ teacher, Niño Ricardo, referring to Paco de Lucía when he was 10 years old, and Paco de Lucía passed it on to Amós Lora 50 years later, leaving a legacy in Amós’ hands.
From the age of six, Amós began studying with various masters and prominent flamenco guitarists. Between Madrid, Jerez, and the “Pescadería” neighborhood in Almería, Amós absorbed the flamenco art. At eight, he met Tomatito, who from the first moment dedicated himself to the boy and taught him his falsetas. Since 2010, Amós has also received teachings from Diego del Morao, Manuel Parrilla, El Paquete, and David Cerreduela, among others.
